Ana was my first client. I never met her prior to our shopping trip but she trusted me enough to let me into her home, rummage through her closet and pretty much be the guinea pig for this project of mine during it’s early stages. The idea to make it into a full-fledged website came after we completed the whole shopping package and I was beyond ecstatic she agreed to be photographed!

Ana works in PR as Managing Director, which means her days are spent meeting with clients, presenting briefs and attending events. She never really thought about the impact of fashion in her field until we met and wanted a fresh new look.

Her style has always been basic–rugged even, so I amped it with color, prints, texture and a flattering silhouette to show off her sexy curves.

Animal print is toned down with a little color blocking via teal pants and fuschia flats. It creates interesting contrast, too!

How to wear embellished for day? Pair with basic black pants and flats. Simply add a jacket and heels for a night out on the town. Top,  Topshop; flats, Zara.

DSC_1360Print on print works when the garments belong to the same color family. Some guts and confidence help, too. Top, Zara; pants, H&M.

DSC_1417Animal print becomes office-appropriate worn with a pencil skirt and pumps. Pick an unusual shade like emerald to keep it interesting.
