Bianca is one of those people who seem to radiate sunshine the instant you meet. Her easy, cheerful demeanor quickly puts you at ease and before you know it, you’ve talked about every topic under the sun. I’d like to think this job has made me a good judge of character; I was right about Bianca and as my sister put it: she is super funny, nice and a hoot to hang out with. I didn’t fail to notice her nonchalant and effortless fashion sense when we touched base again at a stylist’s meeting for a new site last year. She has since left ABS-CBN publishing to become a freelance fashion stylist and full-time mom. A glance at her IG and FB photos told me there was something special about this lady and I was curious to find out. One text sent and she immediately agreed to be shot at her husband’s sneaker and sports apparel store, Titan, in Alabang. When I arrive one sunny Monday morning, she greets me with her usual cheeriness and explains that her husband Raoul let her take the morning off and took over watching the kids so she can do the shoot. What a sweet hubby, I thought! We went to move around stuff in the store to get the perfect shot while customers went in and out. None of this fazed Bianca as she posed like a pro. She really is comfortable in her own skin which I truly liked; save for feeling “too tall” at times next to her friends, opting to wear more flats these days. While she struggles with height, I wish I had more! I happen to love her long legs and insisted on showing it off in more than one occasion throughout the shoot. Here’s the end result of that fun afternoon!

Personal Style Easy. My wardrobe is all about practical, streamlined pieces. It also has to be mommy duties friendly haha! I’m a breastfeeding mom so instead of going for breastfeeding tops, I invested on a lot of button downs. I got so used to wearing these tailored tops, I ended up making it my uniform.
Her days be like I basically have no off days haha! It ranges from attending meetings or sometimes events, to running around the malls doing pulls, sourcing, or buying for a shoot, to shooting, to taking my daughter to school and home errands and chores – with my son nearby so I can breastfeed upon demand.
I spin or box at Elorde Plus. I usually go in the morning when everyone is still asleep. Working out really makes me happy and it gets me ready for the day’s craziness.
Favorite designers and shopping haunts I have a lot but I really admire the aesthetics of Celine and Chloe the most. Locally, Vania Romoff is amazing, Sassa Jimenez as well! Puey Quinones will forever be a favorite – he designed my wedding dress. I’m in love with J. Crew’s styling! I shop everywhere! Zara, H&M, J.Crew and Asos online at times.

Style evolution I think my choices now are simpler, with a cleaner and easy aesthetic. I really need to be able to move in my outfits. I have two kids to carry. If my outfit survives this, it can withstand any shoot or situation I get into haha! I wear more flats and less high heels now.
Body type challenges It’s usually the length of the dress or pants, but we’re lucky now most brands offer options for tall women. Also, when I feel like wearing heels I get a bit conscious because I might just tower over everyone at the party. But I always tell the tall girls, love your height. Always stand tall. I’m very guilty of this. I tend to slouch to “blend in”, but maintaining a good posture makes a big difference! Invest in nice fitting pants. I really think a good pair of skinny jeans and/or cigarette pants should be in your wardrobe. I also feel very blessed that I am able to wear wide pants with flats and boyfriend fit pants. And wear heels! It does wonders to your legs.
