Coobie

Last December, I had the pleasure of working with Coobie on their very first lookbook. This is also one of my first collabs born out of SOS so it was even more special. What was supposed to be a short feature turned into a full blown photo shoot highlighting their ultra comfortable and pretty brassiere. I fell in love with the product on my first meeting with the owner Abbey who brought samples to show for peg ideas—in a restaurant no less! I was particularly drawn to the lace bralettes, especially the plum one. It adds just the right amount of sexy to a sheer top or oversized tee as it peeks through the collar. More styling ideas in the photos!

We wanted a relaxed, lounge-y mood for the campaign and a house in the hills of Antipolo made the perfect backdrop. An abundance of open space, sunlight coming through the windows and colorful nooks provided lots of places to shoot the looks. It felt more like a vacation house than a primary residence; all the green surrounding us was a welcome change for a city-dweller like myself. Here are the results of that one fine Sunday. If only work could be as effortless and fun as this all the time!

This is a bra strap you won’t mind showing.

The lace bralette adds interest to this wrap top that’s still acceptable even in the workplace.

Show off this tangerine bandeau while on holiday with a backless maxi dress.

Lounge around the house in this pretty pink tye dye sports bra.

Tame a deep v top with a white bra in the same shade to keep it streamlined.

The sporty stripe print is ideal for active days.

Let a hint of blue peek through a crochet tank top.

This plum bralette provides a burst of color to a muted ensemble.

The pink polka dots against grey is just the right dose of feminine.

Go monochromatic for a seamless look.

Let some black lace peek through a white keyhole top.

Casual nights out can use a bit of edge without being vulgar.

Coobie makes nursing bras too, and it’s one of their bestsellers. Best worn with a wrap top for easy access.
