Mae is a spirited extrovert, with an infectious enthusiasm that lights up a room. She worked in an athletic apparel company for seven years before moving to the beauty industry on September 2013.
Needless to say her wardrobe had to catch up. What was once (and still is) her favorite ensemble of casual wear with sneakers had to be replaced with cocktail dresses, tailored jackets and stilettos.
As corporate communications manager, she represents the brand in all aspects, often facing the press and media at events and launches. Mae loves to shop which made our sessions all the more fun. She was open to whatever I pulled! We made sure to keep her sporty side intact with hints of it here and there but still kept it polished and age-appropriate.
Since Mae goes to a lot of events her outfits need to be flexible, switching from boardroom to cocktail hour with ease.
A bright sundress becomes casual Friday-appropriate when worn under a knit sweater and paired with oxfords. Sweater and dress, H&M; shoes, Nike Sunburst Premium.
A fun alternative for happy hour: dress over jeans and wedge sandals. Dress, H&M; jeans, Zara; sandals, Medwins.
For dressy events, you can’t go wrong with all-black and the wide-leg culottes are a refreshing change from the usual slim pant. Top, H&M; pants, Apartment8; necklace, Ken Samudio; clutch, YSL.
Weekend wear need not be sloppy. Dress up denim with a circle skirt and fun shoes! Shirt and skirt, both H&M.
Be the hostess with the mostest in a flattering shirtdress and boyfriend-inspired wingtips for an unexpected twist. Shirtdress, Tyler; shoes, Cole Haan Lunargrands.
